Job Details:
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks at traveler's choice
* Night shift schedule with choice of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with possibility of 1 shift call-off per 2 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for bedside RN and CNA
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
* No on-call required
* May float to like/similar medical-surgical units as needed
* Block scheduling not available
* Must reside at least 50 miles from facility
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of initial submittal
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model utilized on unit pairing bedside RN with a Virtual RN and CNA
* Virtual RN assists with admissions, discharges, charting, documentation, patient and family communication, and care coordination
* Care for adult and geriatric patients across surgical and medical diagnoses including colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, cancer-related diagnoses, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
* Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Parking is free
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: BLS
* Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, isolation precautions/PPE
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must have license in hand for offer
* 2 professional references required covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years
