Opportunity:

Labor and Delivery Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in Labor and Delivery unit
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 1:3 on nights
* Minimum 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
* Travel experience required - first time travelers not accepted
* Basic/intermediate fetal monitoring experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP (must be in hand at time of submission), ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate
* Must be comfortable with a wide range of Labor and Delivery skills including antepartum care, vaginal and cesarean deliveries, high-risk obstetrics, fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, and postpartum hemorrhage management
* Experience with pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, pregnancy-induced hypertension, preterm labor, and VBAC management preferred
* Ability to circulate for C-sections and recover C-section patients required
* Must be proficient in starting and maintaining IVs, Foley catheter insertion, and use of infusion pumps
* Self-scheduling unit
* May be required to float to like units within scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This facility operates a 15-bed Labor and Delivery unit delivering 100 to 200 births per month. The unit offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The facility maintains high standards of obstetrical care and is equipped to handle both routine and high-risk deliveries.
