RN - Surgery

Job Details:

* Work 4x10 shifts, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Call requirements of 4 days per month
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Minimum 2 years of surgery experience required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS
* Provide optimal patient care utilizing nursing process for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs
* Coordinate care between other healthcare professionals as needed
* Intensive continuous mental effort required to provide optimal safe patient care

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced medical center serving a 500-mile radius and recognized in the top 1% nationwide for outstanding care in heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical procedures. The facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds, functioning at the volume and pace of a Level I trauma center. The facility offers a comprehensive range of services including primary care, heart care, OB/GYN, surgical services, rehabilitation, nuclear medicine, lab services, and X-ray and imaging services.
