Opportunity:

TRAVEL - Occupational Therapy Assistant (766)

Job Details:

* Day shift hours from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
* Work in an occupational therapy unit within a general acute care environment
* Daily census of approximately 250 active consults per day
* Typically assigned 9 to 13 patients per day as a COTA (not expected to see all)
* 2:1 OTR to COTA ratio
* Perform occupational therapy treatments across a wide variety of diagnosis groups
* Utilize general acute care DME equipment
* Document using Meditech EMR system
* Minimum 6 months of acute care hospital OT experience required
* Active Kansas licensure required
* BLS certification required
* Trauma experience preferred
* Comprehensive stroke experience preferred
* Must be able to work independently with little oversight and high accountability
* Strong communication and collaboration skills required
* Flexibility required given the nature of acute care practice

This facility houses a large therapy team working in a complex acute care environment serving a wide variety of diagnosis groups. The team operates with a highly collaborative culture and offers flexible scheduling to meet staff needs. Staff enjoy a great deal of autonomy in care planning and work hand in hand with an interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of patients and the broader community.
