Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* Provide high-quality, compassionate, and timely care to patients of all ages in a fast-paced, 36-bed Emergency Department serving approximately 59,000 patients annually
* Perform comprehensive and focused assessments of patients presenting with emergent, urgent, or non-urgent conditions
* Triage patients using evidence-based triage protocols to determine acuity levels and initiate appropriate care
* Provide rapid intervention and stabilization for patients experiencing medical, surgical, traumatic, psychiatric, and pediatric emergencies
* Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with hospital policy and provider orders
* Operate and monitor medical equipment including cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, ventilators, and point-of-care testing devices
* Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, EMS personnel, and other healthcare team members
* Coordinate patient care including diagnostic testing, re-evaluation, disposition planning, and patient education
* Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the electronic medical record
* Participate in rapid response, trauma activations, code blue, stroke, and STEMI protocols as required
* Maintain strict adherence to infection control, safety guidelines, and hospital standards
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Oklahoma or compact license required
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS
* TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
* Prior experience in Emergency Nursing, Critical Care, or high-acuity settings preferred
* Strong critical thinking, rapid decision-making, and excellent communication skills required
* Must be able to remain calm and focused during high-stress situations
* Requires standing, walking, lifting, and performing physical tasks throughout the shift
