Opportunity:

Registered Nurse: MED/Surg ER

Job Details:

* Full-time position, 36 hours per week
* Day or night shifts available
* Non-exempt position
* Perform nursing care and services including observing and recording signs and symptoms, administering sterile treatments, and assisting with patient examinations
* Prepare, administer, and document oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous medications using barcode scanning in electronic health system
* Monitor IV sites, rate of flow, and discontinue IVs as needed
* Provide total patient care across departments including ER, Med/Surg, LDR, and Nursery
* Perform selected procedures and therapeutic treatments in the Emergency Room
* Observe and provide care to obstetrical patients through labor, delivery, and post-partum stages
* Observe and provide care of newborns
* Participate in nursing care plans in accordance with physician instructions and established standards
* Record and transcribe patient orders from physicians
* Maintain accurate and complete patient records
* Assist in training and orientation of new employees
* Participate in Quality Assurance committees, in-service programs, meetings, and educational workshops
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
* Current valid state nursing license required
* Required certifications: CPR, ACLS, TNCC, NRP, and STABLE
* Strong communication skills required
* Must adhere to dress code by wearing a neat, clean uniform and maintaining high personal hygiene standards
