Job Details:
* 10-hour shifts with Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or Evening shifts from 4:00 PM to 2:00 AM
* Work every other weekend, including Saturday and Sunday
* No on-call required
* Patient ratio of 7
* May be required to float to sister hospital emergency department to perform the same duties if overstaffed
* Provide crisis risk assessments and mental health evaluations for adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Room
* Work with patients suffering from mental health illness and substance use disorder
* Complete evaluations for level of risk for danger to self, danger to others, or grave disability under direction of ED attending provider or APP
* Provide level of care recommendations as a consultant
* Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and care coordination
* Must be licensed as a Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Independent Clinical Social Worker
* Full licensure required - associate license will not suffice
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; 3 years preferred
* Experience in conducting crisis risk assessments for adults and pediatrics required
* Hospital experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC
* Valid Washington state license or compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years

This facility is a short-term acute care hospital operating as both a Level II Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 629 staffed beds. As a teaching hospital, it provides comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties, including adult and pediatric emergency services.
