Opportunity:

RN - 7 WEST (Stepdown & Floor)

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 2 weekends required per schedule
* Holidays worked according to permanent staff holiday schedule
* 32-bed unit consisting of 12 Stepdown beds and 20 Floor beds
* Stepdown nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 and Floor nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-6
* Treat typical MedSurg population including chest pain, COPD, AMS, pneumonia, UTI, abdominal pain, overflow for most services, and hospice patients
* Administer and manage drips in Stepdown; Floor patients receive PCAs, heparin, and similar medications
* Must be able to read telemetry strips in conjunction with telemetry monitor techs who continuously monitor strips
* Floating to any floor or stepdown unit may be required
* Free charge nurse budgeted per unit with House Supervisor always available
* Nurse aides available with 4 when fully staffed for 32 beds
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: BLS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
