Opportunity:
RN - Medical/Telemetry (5W Medicine)
Job Details:
* Work on a 36-bed medical telemetry unit on the 5th floor
* Day shift ratios of 1:5/6 and night shift ratios of 1:6/7
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs, 3 CNAs, 1 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 7 RNs, 3 CNAs, 0.5 HUC, and 1-2 sitters
* Must sign up for 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday count as weekend shifts on night shift)
* Float to sister units including 3W, 5W, and K8 Med-Surge units as needed
* Prepare patients for Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology, and Operating Room procedures
* Utilize medical remote telemetry monitoring, Cerner Patient Observation (CPO), and VC150s available in every patient room
* Use workstation on wheels provided for every staff member and Tap and Go for computer and documentation access
* Document using Cerner EMR system
* Required certification: BLS
* Medical telemetry experience required
* CMSRN certification encouraged
* BSN, charge nurse experience, and leadership experience preferred
* Dress code: Navy blue top and bottom, white top and navy blue bottom, or all white scrubs
