Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with some day shifts required
* 3x12 hour nights with rotating weekends and holidays
* Provide nursing care for labor and delivery patients, including high-risk patients
* Provide postpartum mom and baby care as well as gynecological surgical post-op care
* Float to newborn nursery and NICU as needed
* Nurse to patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2 for L&D, 1:3 for mom/baby couplets, up to 1:5-6 for combination of mom/babies and gyns
* Unit has 19 beds
* Utilize fetal monitors, suction, oxygen, and vital signs monitors
* Use OBIX documentation and centralized monitoring for L&D and EPIC for gynecological patients
* 36-hour orientation program for travelers
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in L&D, postpartum, and gynecological care required
* Proficiency in fetal monitoring required
* STABLE certification preferred but not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NRP
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for gynecological and mom/baby care or hospital-provided scrubs for L&D
* Acute care setting
* BSN not required
* Must not have a permanent address within 80 miles of facility

This acute care facility houses a dedicated labor and delivery unit with 19 beds, offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. The unit is equipped with advanced monitoring technology including centralized fetal monitoring and modern documentation systems. The facility supports a wide range of patient care needs, from routine deliveries to high-risk obstetric cases, postpartum care, and gynecological surgical recovery, with additional support services including a newborn nursery and NICU.
