Opportunity:
RN - Medical Surgical/Telemetry
Job Details:
* 16-bed unit with a 5:1 patient ratio
* Patient types include Telemetry, Post-Op Surgical, Orthopedic, and General Surgery
* Must be comfortable reading and measuring telemetry strips
* Responsible for managing drips including Insulin, Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
* 24 months of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
* Orthopedic and general surgery care experience required
* EPIC charting experience required
* Telemetry experience preferred
* Every 3rd weekend requirement with holiday rotation if scheduled
* No on-call responsibilities
* Billable overtime applies between 36-40 hours per week
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
* Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
* Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
* Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the last 24 months preferred
* First-time travelers accepted with a minimum of 24 months of current nursing experience
* All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
