Job Details:

* Work 4x10 hour shifts, mid-shift schedule from 10:30 AM to 9:00 PM with holiday rotation
* On-call required: 2 weekend call shifts per 4-week schedule period with 12-hour call blocks (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Preferred experience in Neuro (spines/craniotomy), ENT (flaps), and Robotics (DaVinci Xi) cases
* Common cases include Ortho (total joints, spine, trauma), Neuro (craniotomy, spine), ENT (flaps), Robotics, Transplants/Procurements, Trauma/Burns, and GU/GYN
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: NBSTSA (NCCT not accepted), BLS
* Level 1 trauma experience required
* Radiation badge required and must be provided by agency
* Scrub color provided by facility
* Charting system: EPIC
* Guaranteed hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to equal 1 shift
* Block schedule available upon manager approval dependent on unit needs
* Parking available with a $20 registration fee for a hang tag for designated garage use

Facility:

This is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 staffed beds. The Main Operating Room features 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU/GYN, and Robotics. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, with RNs trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures. The department is a busy, dynamic, nurse-driven environment that provides cutting-edge technology to the surrounding community.
