Cath Lab Technician

Job Details:

* Minimum 18 months of experience in Cath Lab specialty required; 2 years preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 12-hour shifts; 40 hours per week for 8- or 10-hour shifts
* Call is required
* Weekend requirements can be discussed with manager
* Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including floating to all 3 sister facilities within 20 miles
* Block scheduling is not available
* Local candidates accepted at the same rate
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission; any RTO added later will likely not be approved
* Scrub color: Ceil Blue
* Charting system: EPIC
* Free parking available in any unrestricted space
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, ARRT R, CCI RCIS; RCVT or RCIS preferred
* Required skills include: Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Equipment Setup, Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Room Circulator, Sterile Field Maintenance, Isolation Precautions/PPE, and Sterile Technique
* EKG and Pharm test required during orientation; 2 attempts maximum with no remediation for a re-test
* Required modules must be completed prior to start date and are recorded via SilkRoad
* 2 references from a direct supervisor, manager, ANM, or director required
* Candidates may extend for up to 18 months; a 6-month break is required thereafter
