LVN - Med Onc Clinic

Job Details:

* 5x8 shift schedule, Monday through Friday, no weekends
* Shift hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
* Occasional float to Simi Valley location may be required
* 1 year of LVN experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* NP and Oncologist in-house support available
* Phlebotomy support provided
* Scrubs required (not provided): Grape colored
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), IV Certification for LVNs
* Required experience and skills: EPIC charting, outpatient/urgent care clinic experience, IM & SQ, oral medication administration, subcutaneous medication administration, central line blood draw, central line dressing change, IV pumps, monitor blood product administration, phlebotomy, and starting IVs
* Preferred experience and skills: Colostomy care, obtaining/instructing clean catch urine, symptom management (ascites, constipation/diarrhea, nausea/vomiting), patient/family education and support, goal setting with patient/family, medical oncology, surgical oncology, nasal cannula, wound care/wound vac, wound drains/JP/Hemovac, communication of patient status changes to RN/MD, pain assessment management, telephone triage, vaccine administration, and vital sign monitoring
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 60 patients
* Epic charting system experience required
