Job Details:

* Block scheduling type
* No on-call required
* No weekends required
* Patient ratio of 1:3
* 8 hours of orientation
* Daily census ranges from 36 to 52 patients
* 21 rooms available within the unit
* Able to work in pre-op, post-op, and PACU; must be experienced in all phases of care
* Will float between pre-op, post-op, and PACU
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Treats patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Previous charge experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Scrub color: Any color
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
* Special procedures include: Colon/EGD procedures, urology, neuro, orthopedics, GYN, ophthalmology, podiatry, RFA, paracentesis, diagnostic imaging biopsies, cath lab procedures including heart caths and pacemakers, vascular, general surgery, ENT, plastics
* Special equipment includes: DaVinci and Mako
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

Facility:

This short-term acute care facility is a Level III Trauma Center with 104 total staffed beds. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and offers a comprehensive range of surgical and procedural specialties. The unit supports a wide variety of patient care needs with robust interdisciplinary services and advanced surgical technology available to clinical staff.
