Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Night shift position from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 hours per week guaranteed
* Schedule is based on unit needs with no block scheduling
* Minimum two years of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
* Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
* Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or AWHONN certification required
* Current RN license in state of practice required
* EPIC experience required
* Perform physical and psychosocial assessments of patients with consideration of age and cultural differences
* Initiate and maintain multidisciplinary, goal-oriented care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
* Manage perinatal emergencies including crash C-sections, precipitous deliveries, and shoulder dystocia
* Assess fetal and maternal well-being, amniotic fluid status, and vaginal bleeding during labor and delivery
* Manage pain control for laboring patients, including supporting alternative pain control methods when appropriate
* Assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor fetal and maternal status during and after medication administration
* Provide care during antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods including circulating for C-sections
* Supervise and delegate care responsibilities to ancillary personnel within their scope of practice

This acute care facility has been serving the Central California Coast community since 1959 and features 162 beds. The facility includes a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and serves as a county designated trauma center, providing comprehensive care across a wide range of medical specialties.
