Opportunity:
Pharmacist
Job Details:
* 7 days on / 7 days off block schedule rotation
* Night shift hours from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with an anticipated transition to day shift (12:00 PM 10:30 PM) approximately July/August timeframe to cover a pharmacist on FMLA through January 2027
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* No floating between units
* 48-hour shifts not approved
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Minimum 1 year of hospital pharmacy experience required
* At least some exposure to pediatric pharmacy required retail pharmacy experience only is not sufficient
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics
* Charting system experience required; Epic used at this facility
* Texas pharmacist license required
* Required certifications: BLS, PharmD, RPh
* Required skills include but are not limited to: antibiotics, anticoagulation therapy, cardiac dosing, chemotherapy, compounding, high-alert medications, IV piggyback, IV push medications, pediatric dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, Pyxis, sterile technique, therapeutic medication monitoring, TPN mixing, and Warfarin dosing
Facility:
This facility is a Children's Hospital and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with 181 total staff beds, dedicated to providing specialized care for pediatric patients from neonates through adolescents. The facility offers a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to pediatric healthcare and is equipped to handle a wide range of pediatric conditions and trauma cases. Parking is free in any unrestricted space, with bike racks also available on site.
