Opportunity:

RN - Medical Cardiac Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend schedule required
* On-call may be required as a last resort
* Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5 during day shift and 1:6 during night shift
* Float to other units as needed
* Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
* Read and interpret own ECG strips using GE telemetry monitors with virtual monitoring support
* Manage respiratory therapy equipment including High Flow oxygen and BiPAP for less than 24 hours
* Treat patients with common diagnoses including congestive heart failure and other medical cardiac conditions
* Unit-specific orientation lasts 3 shifts
* Navy blue scrubs required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* Medical cardiac care experience required
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 32-bed Medical Cardiac Telemetry unit with charge nurses present on every shift. The unit is supported by Nurse Aids and Patient Care Technicians who assist with vitals, bathing, blood glucose monitoring, phlebotomy, and activities of daily living. The facility offers both self-scheduling and block scheduling options, providing flexibility for nursing staff while maintaining high standards of cardiac care.
