Opportunity:

RN - Medical Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirements assigned on a rotation
* On-call as last resort for travelers
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* Medical cardiac experience required with focus on CHF patients
* Must be comfortable titrating drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
* Must be able to read telemetry strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors (virtual monitoring only, no telemetry/monitor techs on unit)
* Experience working with High Flow oxygen and BiPAP for less than 24 hours required
* Nurse aides and patient care techs available on unit with ratios of 12-15 patients per PCT handling vitals, bathing, blood glucose, phlebotomy, and ADLs
* Charge nurse present on each shift and takes a patient assignment
* Charting system: EPIC
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling available
* 32-bed unit in an acute care setting
