Opportunity:
Medical Assistant
Job Details:
* Temporary 13-week contract assignment
* Day shift with varied hours from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* 8-hour shifts with 40 expected hours per week
* No guaranteed weekly hours
* No on-call responsibilities
* Dress code: Royal Blue
* Responsible for rooming patients, discharging patients, and performing point-of-care testing (POCT)
* Top diagnoses include Diabetes, Hypertension, COPD, ER follow-up visits, and sick visits
* Current AHA BLS certification required
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Basic computer skills required
* Minimum 1 year of work experience required
* Certificate verifying successful completion of a medical assistant training program from an accredited school required
* Must successfully complete all medical assistant orientation and training requirements including certification and annual skills competency
* One of the following certifications is required: Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) from the American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) from the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
