Job Details:
* Interventional Radiology (IR) experience is a plus
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred; at least 1 year required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* 4 weekend shifts required per contract
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH
* On-call required based on unit needs with a 30-minute response time; call shifts can average 10 shifts within a 6-week period, including one weekend of call
* Scheduling is at manager's discretion for block schedule accommodations
* All RTO must be included at time of submission; must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Scrub color: Navy Blue for RNs; scrubs provided for L&D/OR/Cath Lab
* Charting system: Epic
* Patient population: Adults and Geriatrics
* Daily census: 3 scheduled cases, up to 9 cases per day including ER cases
* Unit consists of 4 rooms and 4 beds
* Patient diagnoses include: ST elevated MIs, non-ST elevated MIs, chest pain, Takotsubo syndrome, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias (complete heart block, SVTs, ventricular rhythms), embolic and hemorrhagic strokes, and peripheral vascular diseases
* Procedures performed include: left and right heart catheterization, coronary angiograms, coil and sphere embolizations for stroke, PTCA, angioplasty, intra-aortic balloon pump placement, electrophysiological studies and arrhythmia ablations, visceral angioplasty, and intravascular ultrasound
* Medications used include: Nitro, Epinephrine, Neosynephrine, Norepinephrine, TPA, Lasix, and Isuprel
* Special equipment includes: Acist injector for contrast, intravascular ultrasound, fractional flow reserve gradient measurement system, Phillips hemodynamic monitoring system, Penumbra thrombectomy device, Impella left ventricular assist device, intra-aortic balloon pump, and Rotoblator atherectomy device
* Interdisciplinary support available: Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
