Opportunity:

Interventional Radiology RN

Job Details:

* 4x10 day shifts for a 13-week assignment
* 1 year of experience required; 3-5 years preferred
* ICU experience is a hard requirement
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Weekend coverage varies depending on staffing possible every 3-4 weekends
* On-call responsibilities: typically one night of call per week every other week from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM the following day
* Weekend call shift approximately every 4-6 weeks from 5:00 PM Friday to 7:00 AM Monday
* Call staff must be available to cover if night shift staff call out
* Patient ratio is 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 15-20 patients across 5 rooms/beds
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Procedures include CT guided biopsy, fistulograms, GJ-tube placement, lower extremity angiograms, nuclear med/stress tests, paracentesis, thoracentesis, and Y90 procedures
* Skills required: interpretation/management of dysrhythmias, monitoring procedural sedation, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* May be required to float between sister facilities on occasion
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* RTO requests must be submitted upfront during submittal; limit total RTO to under 7 days
* Local travelers with permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for a travel contract

This short-term acute care facility is a well-established hospital with 325 staffed beds, offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The interventional radiology unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains high standards for patient care across its specialized procedural units.
