Opportunity:

RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* Manager will accept either 48 or 36 hours guaranteed per week
* Shift times: Days 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, Nights 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* ANM shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* CAP Only - Will switch from Days to Nights the last 4 weeks
* Schedule is made in 6-week increments and released 2 weeks prior to the schedule beginning; block schedule cannot be guaranteed
* Every other weekend rotation required, may be variable based on need
* No mandatory on-call requirements
* Holiday rotation required on a fair and equitable basis
* High acuity patient experience required including hypertension, magnesium administration, C-sections, preterm labor, insulin drips, vaginal deliveries, epidurals, inductions, antepartum, PROM, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
* Ability to triage OB patients, circulate in OR, perform cervical checks, and read/interpret fetal monitoring strips required
* Experience as second set of hands to receive and recover normal newborns as needed
* ANM must have strong Charge Nurse experience, interpersonal skills, willingness to educate, staff rounding, and conflict management abilities
* Minimum 2 years experience required with previous travel experience; 5+ years preferred
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, Intermediate FHM (AWHONN)
* Equipment used includes Alaris CareFusion IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, Centricity/Qx fetal surveillance monitors, CAD Solaris epidural pumps, Panda Warmers, and Covidien SCDs
* Floating may be required to antepartum, postpartum (4th floor), and additional assignments within scope and experience; no floating required for ANM
* Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines: 1:1 active labor, 1:2 non-active laboring, 1:2-3 antepartum dependent on acuity

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and Level IV NICU with 34 Labor & Delivery beds, including 15 labor rooms, 12 antepartum rooms, 4 OB ED rooms, and 3 ORs, along with 18 postpartum beds. The unit supports up to 300 deliveries per month and maintains 24/7 laborist and respiratory therapy coverage. The facility provides a robust support team including CNAs, scrub techs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, break nurses, and anesthesia services.
