Opportunity:
Sterile Processing Tech
Job Details:
* Work 8-hour evening shifts from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM
* Monday through Friday schedule
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Acute Hospital OR experience required, primarily with Neuro, Spine, and Cardiac instrumentation
* Required certifications: CBSPD or IAHCSMM/HSPA
* Must be willing to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Skills required include but are not limited to: biological indicators, chemical indicators, high-level disinfection (HLD), immediate-use steam sterilization (IUSS), steam sterilization testing/monitoring, sterilization wrapping procedures, and use of washers/sterilizers
* Additional skills include: cleaning equipment (crash carts, IV pumps, PCA pumps), equipment documentation, proper selection of wrapping materials, and Sterile Processing Microsystem (SPM)
* Experience working with Cardiac, OB/GYN, Robotics, Transplant, Urology, Ear/Nose/Throat, and Plastics instrumentation preferred
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
