Job Details:

* 13-week contract with 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Day shift, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
* No weekend coverage required
* No on-call requirements
* Daily caseload of 14 patients per technologist
* Patient population consists of adults with all cancer diagnoses
* Perform external beam therapy, IMRT, SBRT, SRS, and HDR procedures
* Operate Varian TrueBeam (x2 machines), Gamma Med HDR, and RT Align equipment
* Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, respiratory gating, and tumor localization required
* Assist with intracavity and interstitial administration procedures
* Work with Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Dosimetry with on-site real-time support available
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Block scheduling available
* No floating between units or sister facilities required
* Required certifications: ARRT R, ARRT T, BLS, and Maryland State License (pending license accepted)

Facility:

This 327-bed teaching facility provides comprehensive medical services with a robust interdisciplinary support system including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The radiation oncology department is equipped with two Varian TrueBeam linear accelerators and a Gamma Med HDR unit, supported by on-site radiation oncologists, physicists, and dosimetrists providing real-time support for a wide range of cancer treatments.
