Opportunity:
Acute Care PT
Job Details:
* 4x10 shift schedule, Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Facility may call off up to 6 times throughout a 13-week assignment
* A weekend day will be required to work
* No on-call requirements
* Average daily census of 11 patients
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Work with medical surgical and ER patient populations required; ICU experience preferred
* Preferred generalist who is confident with medical diagnoses
* Preferred ability to manage moderate to maximum assist patients and co-treatments
* Ability to work with ventilated patients preferred
* Ability to pivot easily and pick up additional evaluations throughout the day preferred
* Patient transport to and from treatment experience preferred
* May be asked to float to surrounding clinics
* Must be comfortable floating without restrictions
* Dress code: Business casual
* Charting system: Cerner
* Free parking available
* Must adhere to quality and patient safety standards including medication administration (BCMA)
* 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card, Wound Care
* Current Arizona state license required and must be in hand at time of start
* Key skills include but are not limited to: acute care, gait training, evaluation, orthopedics, neurology, post-stroke rehabilitation, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and lifting and transfer
Facility:
This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level IV trauma center with 87 total staffed beds. The facility operates seven days a week and provides care across a range of medical and surgical specialties. The organization upholds high standards for quality and patient safety, including medication administration protocols, and supports an interdisciplinary care environment.
