Job Details:
* Work 10-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday with alternating weekends
* A compensatory day is provided during the week for any weekend days worked
* First to float as needed
* No on-call requirements
* Expectation of 1 completed evaluation per hour; primarily performing evaluations at this site
* If seeing patients for daily treatments, expectation is 10 completed treatments in an 8-hour shift
* Primary coverage area is acute care; possible minimal coverage at an additional acute care hospital location
* Treat patients across a Level III trauma center, telemetry, orthopedics, surgical, critical care, neurology, oncology, and general medical units
* Patient population consists mostly of adults and older teens; pediatric patients are not treated at this facility
* May be asked to precept as needed by the unit
* Maroon scrubs required
* EMR system: MEDITECH
* Floor-specific orientation provided for 3 to 5 days depending on experience level with acute care
* New graduates will be considered if they have strong adult acute clinical experience including trauma and critical care
* Required certifications: BLS Certification
Facility:
This inpatient acute care facility operates as a Level III trauma center and provides a wide range of specialty services including telemetry, orthopedics, surgical care, critical care, neurology, oncology, and general medical care. The facility supports a robust rehabilitation team with on average five PTAs and two to three rehab technicians on staff. The organization uses MEDITECH as its electronic medical record system and provides thorough onboarding and orientation for incoming staff.
