Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2105.40

Opportunity:

Scrub Tech - OR

Job Details:

* Rotating shift schedule working 4 x 10-hour shifts
* Shifts start at either 6:30 AM or 8:30 AM
* Days of the week are not set
* On-call one night per week and one weekend per month
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience required with orthopedics, total joints, GYN, and general surgery
* Surgery Technician certification preferred
* Current BLS certification required
* Prepare surgical cases by creating and maintaining a sterile field
* Retract and pass instruments, supplies, and medications to surgeons during cases
* Accurately check required supplies and equipment prior to each surgical case
* Assemble appropriate supplies and equipment prior to operative procedures
* Set up operative instrumentation and sterile field for expedient retrieval and utilization
* Complete instrument, sponge, needle, and blade counts with the Registered Nurse according to established standards
* Maintain a neat and orderly sterile field with careful attention to aseptic technique
* Label solutions according to established standards
* Clean equipment and facilities as necessary
* Transport patients according to unit schedules and priorities
