Opportunity:

RN - MedSurg/PCU

Job Details:

* Work in a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital requiring flexibility to work across multiple departments as needed
* Must be experienced in MedSurg, PCU, and Telemetry areas
* Identify patient and significant others' needs for patient education and provide education utilizing appropriate modalities
* Identify and provide for patient safety through preventative measures including safe use of side rails, restraints, and equipment
* Follow restraint policy correctly with proper evaluation and documentation
* Demonstrate knowledge of safe operation of all equipment in PCU, Telemetry, and MedSurg areas
* Utilize troubleshooting techniques and follow procedures for repair of essential equipment
* Implement infection control and isolation procedures using proper procedures and documentation
* Utilize standard precautions at all times
* Maintain complete, accurate, and concise documentation of patient status, nursing interventions, and patient responses during assigned shift
* Ensure accuracy and complete physician orders in a timely manner
* Complete 24-hour check of orders when within duties of assigned shift
* Give change of shift report to oncoming employees in a complete and accurate manner
* Report critical lab values to physician in a timely manner according to policy
* Maintain and restock emergency carts, room, and general supplies
* Active Washington state nursing license required
* Candidates must be willing and able to work through the upcoming holiday season with minimal requested time off
