Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend required
* Required to work holidays if scheduled during that time
* No on-call or standby call requirements
* May float to Meridian Medical Center and Nampa Medical Center
* Handle 36-42 treatments per 12-hour shift, or 12-14 treatments every 4 hours
* Cover adult, pediatric, and Level III NICU patients
* RTs assigned to pediatric floors will also cover adults; RTs assigned to adult floors will not cover pediatrics
* Manage all RT equipment, treatments, transport, and ABGs; EKGs are not required
* Assist with intubation only; independent intubation is not required
* Must be proficient with RT equipment including Draeger vents (adults), Servo U vents (peds), V60 BiPAPs, Vapotherm high flow, Optiflow for NICU and PICU, Philips Cough Assist, ResMed home CPAP, HillRom Vest machines, and Hill-Rom Metaneb
* NICU coverage requires knowledge of NAVA (Naturally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist) on Cervo vents
* Scheduler will assign shifts based on need; block scheduling accommodated when possible but not guaranteed; overtime may be available
* Lead therapist on each shift covers ED, manages daily staffing, and serves as a resource; manager and supervisor available during daytime hours
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Any color as long as clean and professional
* RRT preferred with at least 2-3 years of experience; CRT accepted with 3-5 years of experience
* Required certifications for adults: BLS, ACLS
* Required certifications for pediatrics: BLS, PALS
* Required certifications for NICU: BLS, NRP
* BSN not required

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive respiratory therapy department serving adult, pediatric, and Level III NICU patient populations. The department maintains a robust team with typically 15-20 therapists on day shifts and 10-12 on night shifts, ensuring travelers are never the sole RT on duty. The facility provides 24/7 hospitalist and intensivist coverage and is equipped with modern respiratory therapy equipment to support a wide range of patient care needs.
