Opportunity:
Respiratory Therapy
Job Details:
* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Every other weekend required with holiday shifts as needed
* Self-scheduling available with block scheduling option
* Must attend department meetings once per month
* Float between ICU, floors, NICU, and ER as needed
* First to float when low census occurs per contract
* No more than 30 treatments per shift depending on season with workload divided by floor
* Treat patients ranging from NICU to geriatrics across ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, small Peds unit, and level III NICU
* Perform ABG draws and analysis, breathing treatments, BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator management
* Assist with intubation and LMA placement as needed
* Assist with bedside bronchoscopy procedures
* Operate equipment including Drager vents, Cervo-NICU, Hamilton transport vent, Vapotherm, Philips V60 and V30
* A team lead or charge therapist will always be present on shift
* Will never be the only respiratory therapist in-house
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* NICU experience required
* Charting system: EPIC
* Any color scrubs permitted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT or RRT via NBRC, PALS, STABLE (NRP required only if handling NICU patients)
Facility:
This acute care facility is a Level III trauma center offering a comprehensive range of inpatient and emergency services. The respiratory therapy department supports patients across multiple care settings including ICU, stepdown, MedSurg, a small pediatrics unit, and a level III NICU. The facility maintains a collaborative team environment with experienced charge therapists on every shift to support staff and ensure quality patient care.
