Opportunity:

RRT - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* May work some weekends including Friday through Sunday team rotation
* No on-call responsibilities
* Cancellation policy: 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Minimum of 2 years of experience required with at least 1 travel contract
* Experience in facilities with 300+ beds required
* Critical care experience required with ability to work adult ICU
* Must be comfortable with intubating patients as respiratory therapist serves as first line for intubation
* Must be accustomed to high and heavy workloads (550 minutes of treatments per shift)
* Average of 13-15 patients per shift with average 15 minutes per treatment
* Perform all RT duties including nebulizers, airway management, Vapotherm, BiPAP, CPAP, ventilator management, ABG collection, bedside PFTs, and CPT
* In ICU: place A-lines, manage blood gases, intubate, and perform bronchoscopies
* Work with Servo vents (U and I models)
* Chart using MEDITECH EMR system
* Common patient diagnoses include COPD, CHF, pneumonia, respiratory failure, ARDS, and cancer
* ICU therapists manage up to 4 airways per shift
* Must be confident making vent management suggestions, reading ABGs, and alerting critical values
* Required certifications: RRT, Georgia state license, ACLS, BLS, PALS (NRP required if working NICU)
* Scrub color: Ceil blue scrubs and ceil blue jacket only
* Must adhere to strict 75-mile radius rule

Facility:

This acute care facility is a large hospital with 300+ beds offering comprehensive inpatient services across multiple units including adult ICU, general floor, and NICU. The respiratory therapy department operates with an average of 10-11 therapists per shift and is supported by in-house hospitalists and intensivists available 24/7, along with 24/7 pharmacy services. The department is led by both a Charge Respiratory Therapist and a Clinical Coordinator, ensuring strong leadership and support for all clinical staff.
