MS/Tele RN

Job Details:

* Travel nursing position requiring at least one prior travel contract
* Float position between units and up to 6 other acute care departments within the hospital
* Every other weekend required with 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
* No on-call required; however, may be called off due to low census
* Patient ratio of 1:5 with unit ratios of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* 30-bed unit serving adult and geriatric patients with a daily census of 27
* Must be proficient with Epic charting system
* At least 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: blood product administration, central line care and management, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PCA, PICC line management, phlebotomy, telemetry monitoring, wound care and wound vac, and use of rapid response and code teams
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel requires solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire; print tops are not acceptable
* Free parking available in any unrestricted surface parking lot designated for employees and visitors
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Block schedules are approved but not required
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed prior to start
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
