Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers welcome
* Weekend schedule varies to meet department needs; must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Float required; travelers will cover Observation Unit which includes ER Hold patients
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Scrubs acceptable; no jeans or logo tees; business casual dress code required
* Charting system experience required; Epic charting system
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Fast-paced environment; Trauma 3 facility with Open Heart/2 Cath Labs and active Oncology Clinic
* Generalist role covering hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, serology, and limited microbiology
* Blood bank experience required; recent blood bank experience strongly preferred (typically covered if traveler extends)
* No antibody ID required
* Serves patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Required certifications: ASCP-MLS
* California Lab Scientist (CLS) license must be in hand at time of submission this is a hard stop requirement; pending licenses are not accepted
* Pre-approved time off limited to no more than 7 days
* 2 professional references required, covering 1 year of experience within the last 3 years

Facility:

This facility is a fast-paced, acute care community hospital operating as a Trauma 3 center with advanced cardiac services including an Open Heart program and two Cath Labs. The facility also supports an active Oncology Clinic serving approximately 600 patients per month. The laboratory department provides comprehensive clinical services across hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry, serology, microbiology, and blood banking.
