Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule
* Call required: 1 weekday call and every 4 weeks Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
* 1 weekend shift per contract
* 16 hours of orientation
* Average daily census of 25 patients with 3 rooms
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrubs provided
* Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, and Ohio license
* ARRT VI preferred
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Trauma Level I experience preferred
* Must be proficient with PACS and fluoroscopy equipment
* Responsible for equipment set up, maintenance, and maintaining sterile field
* Abdominal and pelvic procedures include chest tube placement, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, and thoracentesis
* Genitourinary procedures include catheter/drain exchange, embolization, and internal/external biliary drainage
* Vascular procedures include TIPS and central venous access/port placement
* Venous access responsibilities include central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
* Must demonstrate knowledge of isolation precautions, sterile technique, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretary
* In-house 24/7 provider coverage includes intensivist, NP, CRNA, hospitalist, and anesthesiologist
* Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required
* No block scheduling
