Open Position: Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Peds/Adult

Job Details:

* 13-week assignment with 3x12 night shifts
* Weekend shifts required
* No on-call requirements
* Will float within scope to cover NICU, PICU, and Adult units as needed
* Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or 4 NICU or PICU experience required - Hard Stop
* Trauma experience required
* Strongly preferred: experience across all levels including Level 3 NICU/PICU and Adult ICU
* Administer and manage all RT therapies including NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, and Flolan nebulizer
* Work with Draeger ventilators for adult patients, Servo-I for PICU and NICU patients
* Operate 3100A and 3100B ventilators along with Jet ventilators in NICU
* Preferred experience with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo-I equipment
* Treat patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Charting system experience required; facility uses Epic
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: BLS, CRT
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP, PALS, RRT
* First-time travelers accepted
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility
* Pending license accepted, but license must be in hand for auto offer

This acute care hospital is a Magnet-designated facility and a Level II Trauma Center recognized among the best hospitals in Alaska by U.S. News & World Report. The facility operates 407 staffed beds and includes a 28-bed adult ICU, a 9-bed PICU, and a 66-bed Level 3 NICU. The facility provides a broad range of specialized services including open heart surgery for adults and comprehensive respiratory therapy support across all units.
