Job Details:

* Every other weekend schedule required
* No call required
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; unit accepts first-time travelers
* Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* 12 orientation hours required
* Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
* All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule requests post offer or on-site
* No requested time off permitted during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* If one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work all applicable holidays
* If three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them
* Treats patient age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* 43-bed emergency department
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Unit does not accept travel pairs
* Community hospital experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Additional preferred certifications: CPI, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP, FHM
* Key skills include BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions and PPE, starting and maintaining IVs, and general emergency department combined adult and pediatric care
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
