Job Details:
* 3x12 night shift schedule
* Weekend coverage required with 4 weekend shifts per contract
* Minimum 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 1:7 for days, nights, and weekends
* May float to long-term acute care or other units in the hospital to manage med-surg patients
* Charting system experience required; Epic used at this facility
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI, and NIHSS
* Treats patients across age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include CVA, orthopedics, brain injuries, and debilitated patients requiring rehabilitation services
* Skills required include accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin administration, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, med/surg, MS/tele, nasal cannula, ortho trauma, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post hemodialysis management, pre/post neurosurgery care, renal failure management, spinal cord injury care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, total joint replacement care, tracheostomy care/management, traumatic brain injury care, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Previous charge experience preferred
* LTAC experience preferred
* Works with fully equipped therapy rooms and gyms and state-of-the-art equipment for physical and occupational therapy
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* One pre-approved time off request allowed per contract
* Self-scheduling
