Opportunity:
Registered Dietician
Job Details:
* 8-hour daytime shifts scheduled 5 days per week
* Rotating schedule including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
* At least 1 year of experience in a variety of patient populations required
* Organ transplant and ICU experience strongly preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certification: RD/RDN
* Provide medical nutrition therapy for inpatients in specialized areas including ICU, transplant, critical care, diabetes, GI, nutrition support, cardiology, and other specialties
* Perform nutrition assessments, documentation, implementation, monitoring, education, and reassessment of care plans
* Conduct Nutrition Focused Physical Exams (NFPE) and malnutrition assessments
* Provide patient education related to nutrition therapy
* Treat adult patients with conditions including oncology, kidney failure, GI issues, enteral nutrition, TPN, cardiac, liver, neurology, ICU care, malnutrition, and wound care
* Required skills include: appetite stimulants, aspiration safety, cachexia, calorie counts, cancer, chronic wounds, developing plan of treatment, diabetes, dietary guidelines, dysphagia, enteral nutrition (tube feedings), failure to thrive, fluid balance, fluid/electrolyte requirements, food-drug interactions, intake and output, kidney disease, nutrient deficiencies, nutrition assessments/reassessments, NFPE, nutrition therapy complications, oral rehydration solutions, protein calorie malnutrition, refeeding syndrome, therapeutic diet orders, and total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
