Opportunity:
RN - Cardiac/Telemetry
Job Details:
* 13 to 26 week contract options available
* 3x12 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend, subject to change based on need
* Float required to like units or other facilities depending on census needs
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on day shifts
* 20-bed unit with a daily census of 14
* Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
* Common patient diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
* Manage cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
* Perform and assist with vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, and thrombolytic therapy
* Perform and assist with defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* South Carolina RN license required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required; first-time travelers will be reviewed based on experience
* Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry monitoring
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
