Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac/Telemetry

Job Details:

* 13 to 26 week contract options available
* 3x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend coverage required, may change based on need
* Float required to like units or other facilities depending on census need
* Care for inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions
* Common diagnoses include sepsis, MI, unstable angina, and Coronary Artery Disease
* Manage cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation
* Perform and assist with vasoactive drug administration, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, and thrombolytic therapy
* Perform and assist with defibrillation/cardioversion, thoracentesis, cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Patient ratio of 1:5 on days
* Daily census of 14 with 20 beds available
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy
* Minimum of 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required; first-time travelers considered based on experience
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* South Carolina RN license required
* Skills required include interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and telemetry
