Job Details:

* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Strong Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience required
* Work on 8 West unit with a patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage required
* Self-scheduling available
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit capacity of 28 beds with a daily census of 28
* Patient diagnoses include Family Medicine ACU patients, medical cases requiring in-hospital nursing care and monitoring, and pre/post-surgical patients
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more
* Float to other units and campuses may be required based on census needs; staff will only float to units for which competencies have been demonstrated
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information

This hospital is a full-service acute care facility offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services to the surrounding community. The 8 West unit operates as an Accountable Care Unit (ACU), a geographically defined inpatient area jointly managed by a Medical Director and Nursing Leadership Team, with a focus on multidisciplinary collaboration to optimize clinical, service, and cost outcomes. The facility provides robust interdisciplinary support services to ensure comprehensive patient care.
