Job Details:

* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Weekend shifts required
* Self-scheduling available per manager discretion for block scheduling
* May float to postpartum unit as needed
* On-call may be required depending on census
* Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period
* 40 orientation hours required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted within 50-mile radius
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, ACLS, AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrub color: Solid Royal Blue (RN); L&D scrubs provided
* Free parking available
* Sterile vaginal exams required and is a hard stop requirement
* Must be proficient in Labor & Delivery skills including but not limited to: vaginal delivery, C-section circulation and recovery, fetal monitoring, magnesium sulfate therapy, postpartum hemorrhage management, neonatal resuscitation, and newborn assessment
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of candidate submission
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

Facility:

This acute care hospital operates with 200 staffed beds and provides a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The Labor & Delivery unit consists of 5 rooms and 5 beds, with a daily census of 2 to 3 patients and approximately 15 visits per day. The facility supports staff with comprehensive interdisciplinary services and utilizes Epic as its primary charting system.
