Job Details:

* Work 4x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Patient ratios of 1:6 standard, may flex to 1:7 in the event of an unplanned absence
* Every other weekend required
* On-call required on a PRN basis for low census
* Floating required between med/surg units as needed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina RN license or Compact license required prior to start
* Required certification: BLS
* Preferred certifications: ACLS, NIHSS
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required skills include: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, Telemetry, Insulin, and Rapid Response
* Additional skills include: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Chest tubes, Colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, Feeding tube care, Heparin, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Management of dysrhythmias, Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, PCA, Peripheral Line Care, PICC line management, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Pre/Post neurosurgery, Renal failure, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Tracheostomy care, Total joint replacement, Wound Care/Wound Vac
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, renal disease, hypertension, CAD, stroke, chest pain, and altered mental status
* Telemetry monitoring performed by monitor techs in a central location
* Telemedicine equipment utilized; training/instruction will be provided
* Scrub color: Royal Blue

* Interdisciplinary support includes: IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary

Facility:

This facility is a 34-bed community hospital offering comprehensive medical-surgical services to adult and geriatric populations. The unit provides telemetry monitoring capabilities managed by dedicated monitor technicians in a centralized location, supporting a wide range of typical adult medical-surgical diagnoses. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and provides telemedicine technology with full instruction, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality patient care.
