Open Position: RN - Mother Baby Postpartum

RN - Postpartum

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM
* Work on the Family Place unit, 5th floor in the Maternity/Family Care department
* Patient ratio of 3-4 couplets per nurse
* Day shift staffing includes 3 mother-baby RNs and 1 transition RN; night shift staffing mirrors the same structure
* Perform circumcisions, staple removal, and newborn testing
* Provide standard mother-baby and newborn care
* Work with equipment including CPN charting, infant warmers, bassinets, NELCOR pulse oximetry for CCHD, bili lights, and IV pumps
* Use Meditech and CPN electronic medical records systems
* Minimum 1 year of current Postpartum or Mother-Baby RN experience required
* BLS certification required
* Transition experience preferred
* Patient-centered care approach and flexibility preferred
* Positive, hard-working, and friendly personality a strong fit for this unit

This healthcare facility features a dedicated Family Care and Maternity unit with 10 beds and a team of 26 staff members committed to providing comprehensive mother-baby care. The unit has recently undergone a full remodel with new technology upgrades and offers self-scheduling options for staff. The facility supports a diverse patient population and provides lactation support services, with a positive and tenured staff team dedicated to patient-centered care.
