RRT - NICU

Job Details:

* Variable shift scheduling - manager makes every effort to keep staff on a consistent shift (days or nights) for the duration of the 13-week contract, with exact assignment typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* No on-call required
* Float required internally between departments - must be flexible
* Must be able to work independently within a Level 3 NICU autonomously
* Must have skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center
* All staff are considered VAR (variable) for the unit, including full-time employees
* 48-hour shifts not approved
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios dependent on hospital acuity
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required at minimum
* NICU Level III or IV experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, Aspiration, Assist in high risk delivery, Bag and mask, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP/Nasal CPAP/BiPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing arterial blood gases, ET Tube, Extubation, Fresh tracheostomy, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High frequency jet ventilator, High frequency oscillator, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Intubation Assist, Nasal airway placement, Nasal airway suctioning, NICU, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oral airway placement, Oral/nasal suctioning, Oscillating Ventilator, Oxygen tanks, Pneumonia, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Pulmonary Hygiene, Spirometry, Sputum specimen collection, Suctioning (ETT, NT), T-piece, Trach collar, Tracheostomy care/management, Troubleshooting high pressure alarms, Umbilical blood gases, Weaning from mechanical ventilation
* Highly preferred experience with Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility - refusal to float may result in termination and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* 2 references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years, completed during compliance process and prior to start

The facility includes a Level 3 NICU and a Level 2 regional trauma center, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, unit secretaries, and more.
