RRT - NICU
Job Details:
* Float internally between departments - must be flexible
* No on-call required
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios per hospital acuity
* Washington state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
* Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU experience required
* NICU III or IV level experience is a hard stop requirement
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* All staff, including travelers, are considered variable (VAR) shift for the unit - shift assignment (days or nights) is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT
* Key skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube management, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of ABGs, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and more
* Special equipment experience highly preferred: Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Patient age groups served: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Rapid Response Teams, and more
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities - refusal to float may result in termination of assignment and/or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
Facility:
This facility is a large hospital with a daily census of approximately 300 patients and 337 beds. It operates a high-acuity NICU at Level III or IV, along with an Adult ICU and Neuro Trauma ICU. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, and social services, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment for both patients and clinical staff.
