Opportunity:
RRT - NICU
Job Details:
* Float internally between departments - flexibility required
* No on-call required
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* Block schedules not required
* Patient ratios per hospital acuity
* Shift assignment (days or nights) is typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance for the duration of the 13-week contract
* All staff, including agency, are considered VAR (variable) for the unit
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility - refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year required per facility
* NICU Level III or IV experience is a hard stop requirement
* Level 2 Adult ICU experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required (second priority)
* Washington State license required and must be in hand at submission
* Epic charting system experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Highly preferred experience with Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT or RRT, NRP, PALS or ENPC
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, BiPAP, Bronchoscopy, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube management, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of ABGs, Intubation Assist, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Pulmonary Hygiene, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Umbilical Blood Gases, and Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation
* Patient age groups include: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal
* 2 professional references required covering 1 year within the last 3 years (can include Charge RNs/Leads)

This large healthcare facility operates a Level 3 NICU and Level 2 Adult ICU, providing comprehensive critical care services across multiple patient age groups. With 337 beds and a daily census of 300, the facility offers robust interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and more.
