RRT NICU

Job Details:

* Variable shift scheduling - manager makes every effort to keep staff on a consistent shift (days or nights) for the duration of the 13-week contract, with exact assignment typically confirmed one to two weeks in advance
* Every other weekend required per CBA
* No on-call required
* Block schedules not required
* Position requires floating internally between departments - must be flexible
* All staff, including agency staff, are considered VAR (variable) for the unit
* Must be able to work independently within a Level 3 NICU autonomously
* Must have skill and experience to work in a Level 2 regional trauma center
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; at least 1 year of NICU III or IV level experience required
* Neuro Trauma ICU experience required
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Washington state license must be in hand at time of submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CRT, NRP, PALS, RRT, PALS or ENPC, CRT or RRT
* Charting system experience required: Epic
* Required skills include: Adult Critical Care, ARDS, BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, CPAP, Direct Intubation (Neonatal), Drawing Arterial Blood Gases, ET Tube management, Extubation, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), High Frequency Jet Ventilator, High Frequency Oscillator, Interpretation of ABGs, Intubation Assist, Nitric Oxide (INo), Oscillating Ventilator, Pressure/Volume Ventilator, Tracheostomy Care/Management, Weaning from Mechanical Ventilation, and more
* Highly preferred experience with Bunnell Jet Ventilation in NICU
* Patient age groups include: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, and Geriatrics
* Patient ratios dependent on hospital acuity
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and specific scheduling requests must be submitted upfront during submittal

Facility:

This facility is a large healthcare organization with a daily census of 300 and 337 beds, offering comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary services. The facility operates a Level 3 NICU and a Level 2 regional trauma center, providing high-acuity care across a wide range of patient populations and age groups.
