Opportunity:
RN - Neuro ICU
Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to ICU, IMC, and Tele units as needed
* Half of weekends per contract required
* One pre-approved time off request allowed
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Neuro ICU experience required
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Charting in Epic required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, CVA/acute stroke management, external ventricular drain (EVD), hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, lumbar drains, post craniotomy, post neurosurgery management, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
* Treats adult patient population
* Unit includes 14 rooms and 16 beds with a daily census of 14
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
